Emma Hooton
Kinesiologist / B.Kin

Emma completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia, where she was a Dean’s List recipient. Before UBC, she played NCAA Division 1 soccer at the University of Memphis and then for the UBC women’s soccer team.
As a Kinesiologist, Emma is passionate about promoting health and encouraging lifelong participation in physical activity. She believes strongly in exercise as medicine and strives to help clients build confidence, strength, and independence through movement. Her own experiences managing both acute and chronic injuries have shaped her empathetic approach to supporting clients throughout their recovery and fitness journeys.
Emma has significant experience working with varsity athletes across multiple sports, supporting adults with developmental disabilities, and working with Indigenous youth. She also created and implemented a recreation program at Ronald McDonald House for children battling serious illnesses—an experience she was proud to be part of.
Outside the clinic, Emma enjoys snowboarding, walking her cat Earl, staying active with recreational sports, spending time with family and friends, and learning to play guitar
