Ka Yu graduated with Distinction from Simon Fraser University in 2023, earning his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. His passion for promoting optimal health and functional independence has driven his diverse experience working with various populations.
His own personal experience with injury has deepened his understanding of the rehabilitation process. Drawing from his own challenges, Ka Yu deeply appreciates the value of independence and functionality and approaches rehabilitation with empathy and a firsthand understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of recovery.

Ka Yu has gained valuable experience working with a wide range of populations. His expertise includes conditioning for high-level gymnasts, movement therapy tailored for neurodivergent populations, and leading aqua aerobics classes for the general population. This diverse experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of varied physical needs and the ability to adapt his approach accordingly. As a Kinesiologist, Ka Yu is committed to the principles of patient-centered care. He firmly believes in setting goals that are tailored to each individual, recognizing the unique needs and aspirations of his clients. His empathetic approach fosters a supportive environment, encouraging clients to actively participate in their own health and wellness journey.

A true advocate for an active lifestyle, Ka Yu’s enthusiasm for movement extends beyond his professional life. During his time in school, he actively participated in track and field, badminton, and soccer teams. Currently, he maintains his commitment to a healthy lifestyle by engaging in regular runs, weightlifting at the gym, and trying out different physical activities when possible.

In and out of the professional setting, Ka Yu is dedicated to promoting the benefits of an active lifestyle, helping individuals overcome obstacles, and fostering a holistic approach to health and well-being.
